Perma-Stuck in my head

Often times we complain about things being stuck in our heads. Songs, phrases, even images. At best they are annoying and sometimes they are really unpleasant. But to many Generation X’ers, there is one phrase that has stuck with us throughout our childhood and into adulthood.

Some may not remember exactly where it came from, but we all remember it. A short Sesame Street cartoon. Just long enough to hold our attention as young children.  It hides within the deep recesses of our accessible memory and comes screaming back into our conscious mind when we go to the grocery store and on our list are three little items. A loaf of bread. A container of milk, and a stick of butter.

I CAN NEVER FORGET.
